Esther Ashkenas ELC Special Education Preschool Teacher

Responsibilities include assessing student needs, preparing lesson plans for a self-Contained classroom, and designing individualized plans utilizing behavioral approaches based on aba or teacch principles. Teachers must create developmentally sound iep goals aligned with nys standards and participate in review meetings.

Candidates must possess a master's degree and new york state certification in special education (Students with disabilities grades b-2 or all grades). Experience working with autism is preferred, though candidates currently in process of obtaining the required ma degree and certification are also considered.
