Paraprofessionals assist teachers in preparing educational materials and work directly with students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning objectives. They also support daily routines, including monitoring duties and maintaining instructional areas.

A high school diploma or ged is required, along with the ability to pass the gace para assessment or meet alternative educational requirements like an associate's degree or 60 semester hours. Candidates must also obtain the georgia psc paraprofessional certificate and possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
