The paraprofessional assists teachers with educational materials, classroom routines, and grading while providing direct support to students in individual or small group settings. They also participate in school-Wide duties such as lunchroom, recess, and hall monitoring to ensure a safe and organized learning environment.

Candidates must hold a high school diploma or ged and pass the gace para assessment or possess at least 60 semester hours of college credit. Additionally, the role requires the ability to obtain a georgia psc paraprofessional certificate and the physical capacity to assist with student mobility and classroom tasks.
