Academic Teacher- Elementary 21st Century

The academic teacher is responsible for implementing and teaching a variety of k-5 english/Language arts and math activities while developing positive and nurturing relationships with a designated group of children. Essential functions include delivering developmentally appropriate lessons, facilitating a positive program environment, assisting with homework, and ensuring child safety and active supervision.

Candidates must meet the virginia regulations for licensed child day centers requirements, including being 21 years of age or older with an associate's or bachelor's degree, and possessing at least six months of programmatic experience working with children. Required attributes include being dependable, a positive role model, possessing strong leadership and communication skills, and knowledge of youth development approaches.
