Core responsibilities
This role provides direct assistive technology services, communication access support, training, and outreach to individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing, or have communication-Related access needs across pennsylvania. The specialist conducts device demonstrations, individualized instruction, and contributes to statewide initiatives including emergency preparedness and health equity.
Requirements summary
A bachelor's degree in a related field such as rehabilitation, assistive technology, or education, along with three years of relevant experience supporting individuals with disabilities, is required. Preferred qualifications include being a certified assistive technology professional (Atp) or having experience supporting deaf, hard of hearing, or low vision individuals.
