Level: All JOB SUMMARY The Special Education Academic Coach III is responsible for ensuring that students with exceptional diverse needs have access to our general education curriculum. The Special Education Academic Coach III works predominantly withonestudentwith intensive needs. Special Education Academic Coaches are essential to ensuring all students get the individualized attention requisite for success.
Duties include: ● Assist teachers by working with individual students with intensive educational and / or medical needs on a one-to-one basis ○ 1:1 duties may include but are not limited to ■ Implementing a student health plan and/or attending to student health needs ■ toileting and hygiene support ■ implementation of a behavior intervention plan ■ 1:1 instruction delivered in a separate setting ■ lifting or transferring students ● Assist teachers by working with individual students to address their special education needs ● Assist with the instruction and supervision of students who may have learning differences ●
