Teacher Assistant

The teacher assistant supports classroom teachers in carrying out a high-Quality early childhood program by maintaining constant supervision of children, consistently using positive guidance methods, and assisting with daily classroom activities like meal preparation and nap time setup. Responsibilities also include implementing curriculum under direction, contributing to child observations, assisting with physical care needs, and maintaining a clean, sanitary environment.

Candidates must obtain and maintain a child development teacher assistant permit or higher from the california commission on teacher credentialing and must be enrolled in a child development associate credential program to be completed within two years of hire. Successful candidates must also obtain and maintain pediatric first aid and cpr cards, pass a pre-Employment physical, tuberculosis clearance, and fingerprint process, and provide required vaccination verifications.
