Teacher I

Teachers collaborate to develop weekly, developmentally appropriate lesson plans for preschool children, maintain a safe and positive classroom climate, and conduct ongoing screening and assessment to individualize educational plans. Essential duties include maintaining constant supervision of children, implementing a bilingual, multicultural curriculum, assisting with self-Care needs, and engaging parents in their child's education.

Candidates must possess 12 units in early childhood education/Child development core courses or hold an associate teacher permit or child development associate permit. Required certifications include a current child development permit and pediatric first aid and cpr cards, along with passing pre-Employment physical, tuberculosis clearance, and fingerprinting processes.
