Lifeguard

Lifeguards will support and oversee camp swim time, ensuring the safety of all youth participants while acting as positive role models. Key duties include recognizing and responding to hazardous situations, supervising swimmers, minimizing dangers, educating participants on water safety, and enforcing rules.

Candidates must possess a current red cross or ymca lifeguard certification, or be willing to obtain one through free courses offered, along with related first aid certifications. Applicants must also be available for mandatory training before and during the summer camp season and maintain a patient, caring, responsible, flexible, and positive attitude.
