The Physical Education Teacher will be responsible for providing engaging lesson plans that conform to the charter's curriculum and collaborating with staff to determine instructional goals and methods. They must also maintain excellent content knowledge, appreciate feedback, and demonstrate strong classroom management skills while serving students and communities.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) and required New York State Certification, along with fingerprint clearance through the NYS Department of Education. Prior teaching experience and experience with diverse or urban populations are beneficial, and applicants should exhibit a growth mindset, flexibility, and the ability to use data to drive instruction.
