Core responsibilities
The embedded tutor will support student learning by working alongside instructors in classroom settings, assisting students with concept understanding, encouraging critical thinking, and guiding them toward solutions rather than providing direct answers. Responsibilities also include maintaining instructional alignment, observing and reporting student challenges to the instructor, and ensuring professional and ethical conduct.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess a high school diploma with successful completion of specific courses and must be enrolled in and maintain at least 3 credit hours at jccc with a 2.5 cumulative gpa throughout employment. Good communication skills, including listening, understanding, and patience, are also required.
