Special Education Preschool Teacher

The special education teacher is responsible for the educational direction of the classroom and supervises paraprofessional staff. They plan and implement curriculum activities and provide special education services according to individualized education programs (Ieps).

Candidates must have a master’s degree in education or a bachelor’s degree with a plan to obtain a master’s. A new york state teaching certification in special education or students with disabilities is also required.
