Registered Behavior Technician / Behavior Technician Academy (School Based)

Registered behavior technicians work directly with students in school settings to implement service plans aimed at reducing challenging behaviors and increasing functional skills for individuals with autism and other intellectual or developmental disabilities. This involves collaborating with school teams, documenting interventions, collecting behavior data, and supporting students in acquiring and maintaining necessary skills.

Candidates must be at least 18 years old and either be a registered behavior technician certified or willing to pursue certification, which bayada will pay for. Educational requirements include an associate’s or bachelor’s degree, 48 college credits including specific math and english courses, or passing the parapro praxis assessment.
