School Registered Behavior Technician

Rbts work directly with students in the classroom, implementing behavior therapy techniques and collaborating with teachers. They document interventions and progress towards goals while providing support to help students develop functional skills and independence.

Candidates must be at least 18 years old and have experience working with children with developmental/Intellectual disabilities, although it is not required. An associate’s or bachelor’s degree, 48 college credits, or passage of the parapro praxis assessment is also required.
