Classroom Support Assistant

The incumbent assists the classroom teacher in meeting the individualized education plan (Iep) goals for children with disabilities, which involves collaborating with specialists and participating in iep committee meetings. Major activities include providing one-On-One support, implementing iep goals based on teacher lesson plans, and assisting staff with observations and general classroom activities.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or ged, along with at least one year of experience working with children aged three to five years. Candidates must also possess the ability to read and implement strategies outlined in individual education plans.
