Lactation Consultant - Lactation

The lactation consultant provides specialized care for breastfeeding families, addressing physiological, emotional, and psychosocial needs through inpatient, outpatient, and phone consultations. This role also involves functioning as a consultant, instructor, and mentor to other healthcare professionals and conducting internal and community breastfeeding education.

Candidates must possess an associate's degree in health science or nursing, with a bachelor's degree preferred, and must hold a current bls certification and ibclc certification upon hire. A minimum of 2500 hours of breastfeeding experience is typically required for entry-Level practice.
