Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

The certified occupational therapy assistant must provide therapy according to the treatment plan, monitoring progress and adjusting treatment as necessary. Responsibilities also include documenting progress, communicating treatment plans to families, and consulting with other staff and supports.

Candidates must possess an associate’s degree from an accredited occupational therapy assistant program and hold a current occupational therapist assistant license in the state of ohio. A valid driver's license, willingness to undergo background checks, and professional liability insurance are also required.
