After-School Program Counselor- John Rolfe Middle School

Counselors will deliver program lesson plans in a developmentally appropriate manner, meeting the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual needs of participants while ensuring high levels of engagement. Key duties include supervising children, providing homework assistance, maintaining safety, and serving as a positive role model.

Candidates must meet the requirements of a program leader as detailed in virginia regulations, which includes having a degree in a child-Related field, an early childhood certificate, and six months of programmatic experience with children. Experience in areas like music, arts/Crafts, science, or literacy is preferred, alongside excellent leadership and communication skills.
