Virtual High School Counselor

The virtual school counselor partners with staff and families to inform academic programming, create graduation and career plans, and provide proactive and preventative services to support overall student success. Responsibilities include delivering guidance curriculum, responding to individual needs, reviewing transcripts, maintaining student plans, and analyzing data for appropriate academic interventions.

Candidates must possess a valid state school counselor license and a bachelor's degree along with one year of previous counseling or advisement experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Required competencies include experience with the asca model, k-12 online learning, handling confidential information responsibly, and excellent communication skills.
