Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Lifeguards play a key role in maintaining a safe environment for our students, parents, and staff. Responsibilities
- Safety
- Maintain constant surveillance to ensure the safety of our customers and report any unsafe activities, equipment or instruction to management.
- Provide feedback to instructors immediately if they are outside of curriculum safety requirements (i.e. safety distances, holds, turning backs, etc.)
- Act immediately and appropriately to secure the safety of customers in the event of an emergency.
- Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.
- Prepare appropriate incident reports.
- Always present a professional and engaging attitude.
- Attend monthly in-services to continue to work on lifeguarding skills.

- Weekdays, Weeknights and Weekends required
- 10+ hours a week (seasonality can impact this)

Requirements
- Lifeguard Certification is required and must be maintained during time of employment (we will provide)
- Current CPR-PR, First Aid, and AED certifications are required within 90 days of hire and be maintained (we will provide)
- Expected to learn the curriculum to include all safety aspects within 30 days of employment.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Comfortable working around water and interacting with children and parents.
- Must be able to lift and push up to 50 lbs. and be on your feet for long periods
