Paraeducator, Instructional Candidate Pool

The instructional paraeducator provides direct, hands-On support to students individually or in small groups, focusing on academic, behavioral, and language skills under the guidance of licensed teachers. This role involves implementing specialized plans like ieps and 504 plans, assisting with interventions, and ensuring student safety and personal care.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or ged equivalent; however, applicants for title i schools must also have a passing parapro score, 48 college credits, or more. Preferred qualifications include experience working with students in a pk-12 setting or with children with disabilities, and an associate degree.
