School Counselor

The school counselor actively participates in iep, truancy, and student support meetings to plan for student success, maintains contact with families and school districts, and connects families to community resources. Responsibilities also include completing student inventories, providing classroom and small group lessons, supporting transitions back to home districts, and assisting with college and career exploration.

Candidates must possess initiative, patience, creativity, and excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with a professional demeanor and strong work ethic. A master's degree in social work, counseling, or a related field is required, and pennsylvania department of education guidance counselor certification is preferred, along with a minimum of one year of experience in a human service or psychiatric setting working with youth.
