Core responsibilities
The transition coordinator will oversee staff training to ensure consistent implementation of the transition curriculum and serve as the primary liaison for external job placement sites and vocational programs. Responsibilities also include conducting evaluations of program effectiveness and collaborating with vocational rehabilitation liaisons to support individualized student transition planning.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess in-Depth knowledge of federal and state special education laws and transition regulations, along with exceptional organizational skills and the ability to handle critical conversations. A bachelor's degree in special education is required, preferably with a master's degree, along with a minimum of two years of experience coordinating transition services for students with disabilities.
