Assistant Teaching Professor of Portuguese Studies

The successful candidate will primarily teach undergraduate courses in portuguese language, literature, and culture, maintaining a 3-Course per semester load while focusing on inclusive and evidence-Based instructional practices. Key duties also involve active student engagement through advising, mentoring, promoting study abroad, and contributing to the mission of the saab center for portuguese studies.

A ph.d. In portuguese studies is required, along with native or near-Native proficiency in both portuguese and english. Candidates must demonstrate excellence in undergraduate teaching within portuguese language or lusophone studies, show evidence of effective student engagement, and possess the ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
