The behavior technician provides intensive one-On-One applied behavior analysis (Aba) therapy to clients with autism spectrum disorders (Asd) and developmental disabilities under the direction of a board-Certified behavior analyst (Bcba). Key duties include implementing behavior plans, decreasing problem behaviors, increasing skill acquisition, and maintaining daily data collection and documentation.

Requirements summary

Candidates must complete aba tutor coursework as part of the 40-Hour training requirement for the registered behavior technician (Rbt) credential within 90 days. Preferred candidates are pursuing or possess a relevant ba/Ma degree, have experience working with children with autism, and are pursuing bacb certification, with a minimum of one year of aba therapy implementation experience desired.
