Substance abuse counselor

The counselor will be responsible for providing relevant substance abuse information for class curriculum and facilitating educational presentations, group counseling, and individual counseling sessions. They must also complete required testing, assessments, and psychosocial histories on incoming residents.

Minimum requirements include an associate's degree with two years of experience, a bachelor's degree with one year of experience, or a master's degree in a relevant field like chemical dependency or counseling, and must meet ddap counselor requirements. Preference is given to candidates with experience in a correctional setting and bilingual english/Spanish skills are preferred.
