Lactation Consultant Educator / W&C Education Center / Full-Time (32 hours)

The consultant provides professional lactation management services to childbearing families and directs the development, organization, administration, and evaluation of breastfeeding educational programs for staff and the community. This role requires incorporating knowledge of life-Span growth and development principles to assess patient status and identify age-Specific needs.

Required qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program, a current nc rn license or licensure from a nursing compact state, and certification by the international board of lactation consultant examiners. Candidates must also possess two years of maternal-Child experience and at least one year as a lactation consultant.
