Child Life Specialist Same Day Surgery

The child life specialist interacts directly with pediatric patients and families to facilitate age-Appropriate activities that ease the healthcare experience. They also provide supervision to volunteers and child life assistants while developing and implementing patient-Centered care plans.

Candidates must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and complete a 600-Hour internship supervised by a child life specialist. Child life certification from the association of child life professionals is required or must be obtained within 15 months of hire.
