The health educator provides quality health education services to patients and in-Service education to staff, while initiating professional contact with community groups to increase service accessibility. Essential duties include assessing health education needs and providing education on topics like diabetes, hypertension, smoking cessation, and family planning.
Requirements summary
Candidates must have a ba/Bs degree in a related field or at least 5 years of relevant health education experience, including patient counseling and group education. Applicants must also pass a background check, possess a valid driver's license, and maintain current cpr/First aid certification or obtain it within 90 days.
