Job description
Position: Homeschool Teacher – High School Math
Reports to: Director of Homeschool
Position type: Exempt, Contracted – 10 month School Year
Position Summary
Teach Algebra II and Geometry to High School students in a classroom setting through a kingdom mindset and a biblical worldview. As a ministry of FBC the mission of CCS Homeschool is to inspire students and families to follow Jesus.

Uphold Biblical priorities through a growing personal relationship with Jesus
Become an active member of FB Concord or be an active member of a local like-minded bible teaching church
Develop personal evangelism opportunities within & outside the church & school
Encompass the qualities and characteristics of Concord staff members as outlined in our Staff Values
Bachelor or higher degree in education, mathematics or related field
Valid teaching license/certification for high school mathematics in TN
Algebra II & Geometry teaching experience at the high school level required
1stAid/CPR certification preferred – able to obtain upon hire
Responsibilities
Plan, prepare and deliver effective lessons in Algebra II & Geometry aligned with state and school curriculum standards
Establish & maintain appropriate & effective classroom management procedures
Develop a rapport with students that motivates & fosters enthusiasm for learning
Creatively integrate technology in the classroom to enhance learning
Provide appropriate feedback on student work in a prompt and timely manner
Maintain up-to-date records in approved program
Professionally communicate necessary information regularly to students, team members and parents regarding student progress and disciplinary matters
Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures
Work with Director of Homeschool to ensure smooth running of the program
Work to ensure that confidentiality is maintained by faculty and staff as it pertains to student discipline, academic struggles or staff issues
Participate in other CCS Homeschool events as assigned or requested by Director
Working conditions
Typically, a 2-day work week in a classroom environment. Working with various socio-economic groups, ages and nationalities.
