• Job Summary The Middle School Math Teacher at St.
• Gerard Majella Catholic School is responsible for providing rigorous, faith‑centered mathematics instruction that supports students’ academic growth, problem‑solving skills, and critical thinking development.
• This role delivers instruction aligned with diocesan and school curriculum standards while fostering a structured, engaging, and respectful classroom environment rooted in Catholic values.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver standards‑based middle school mathematics instruction, including topics such as number sense, algebraic thinking, geometry, measurement, and data analysis.
• Develop engaging lessons that promote mathematical reasoning, problem‑solving, and real‑world application.
• Integrate Catholic values into classroom practices and interactions, supporting the mission of the school.
• Create and maintain a positive, organized, and respectful classroom environment that supports student learning and accountability.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic needs and learning styles of students.
• Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and guide instructional decisions.
• Maintain accurate records of student achievement, attendance, and behavior in accordance with school policies.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with parents/guardians regarding student progress and academic expectations.
• Collaborate with faculty, support staff, and administration to support student success and school initiatives.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, liturgical celebrations, and school events.
• Adhere to all school policies, diocesan guidelines, and professional expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field (required).
• Valid teaching certification or eligibility (preferred).
• Experience teaching middle school mathematics (preferred).
• Strong classroom management, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to engage students through clear instruction and effective mathematical practices.
• Commitment to Catholic education and willingness to support the mission of St.
