PE Teacher/Pool Aide | Hope Learning Academy

The physical education aide assists in the adaptive gross and fine motor skill development and aquatic training for students, while also providing direction and supervision to other aides during pool and gym periods. Essential duties include assisting with program implementation, curriculum preparation, documenting student progress related to iep goals, and maintaining the cleanliness and inventory of department equipment.

Minimum qualifications require candidates to be at least 21 years old, possess a high school diploma or ged, and hold a valid state or nclb paraprofessional certificate. Applicants must also be current in lifeguard certification or capable of obtaining it, have a valid illinois driver’s license, and be able to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs.
