The Athletic Trainer (NATA Certified) serves as the primary athletic trainer for one or more assigned sports programs. As part of the Virginia Tech Athletics Sports Medicine area, this position reports directly to the Associate AD / Sports Medicine.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with athletic training/sports medicine experience. National Athletic Trainers Association certification by hire date.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree. Additional certification in CPR/First Aid. Clinical experience. Sports medicine experience in a Division I "Power 4" athletics program.

Pay Band: 3

Overtime Status

Non-Exempt: Eligible for overtime

Commensurate with experience.
