Core responsibilities

The school social worker will provide therapy services to prek-12 students, conduct necessary evaluations, develop individualized education program (Iep) plans, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including therapists, educators, and parents. Responsibilities also include supporting students according to their iep and managing required documentation and administrative tasks.

Requirements summary

Candidates must possess a master’s degree in social work (Msw) and hold or be eligible for a colorado department of education (Cde) special services provider (Ssp) license with a school social worker endorsement. Experience working with children or school-Aged students and knowledge of ieps and special education law are preferred.
