Preschool Assistant Teacher - Full Time

The assistant teacher is responsible for the care and development of children, planning and implementing curriculum guided by the lead teacher to meet head start performance standards. Essential duties include assisting in curriculum creation, maintaining a safe and stimulating classroom environment, promoting social-Emotional growth, and participating in family engagement activities like home visits.

Candidates must possess an associate's degree and 24 ece core units with a california child development teacher permit or higher, along with at least one year of preschool classroom experience. Other requirements include passing background checks, obtaining cpr/First aid certification, and adhering to health and safety mandates, including covid-19 vaccination proof or testing.
