Core responsibilities
Substitute older youth leaders work directly with groups of approximately 20-25 students, acting as positive adult role models, coaches, and mentors while ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. Responsibilities include leading instruction, providing academic assistance, enforcing core agreements, and engaging youth through active, collaborative, and meaningful hands-On activities.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess either 48 college semester units or a bachelor's degree, be a minimum of 22 years old, and have at least six months of experience working with groups of 10 or more students in an educational or recreational setting. Passing a live scan background check and providing a clear tb test are mandatory requirements.
