Core responsibilities
The lifeguard is responsible for providing a safe environment for all participants in and around the pool. This includes responding to emergencies and administering cpr and first aid effectively.
Requirements summary
Candidates must be at least 18 years old and possess a current ymca lifeguard certificate or equivalent. They must also be able to pass a basic lifeguard skills test, including swimming 500 yards.
