The behavioral health specialist is responsible for using recreational and social activities to foster skill building and problem solving. They work as part of a multi-Disciplinary treatment team to support patients in enhancing their skill sets.

A bachelor's degree in recreation therapy or a closely related field is required, along with completion of an approved clinical internship. Candidates must also be able to obtain a security clearance, including a drug screen and criminal background check.
