Southern New Hampshire University is seeking a student employee to fill the role of Crisis Counselor for the Crisis Text Line organization.
As a Volunteer Crisis Counselor, you will work closely with Crisis Counselor Supervisors to provide de-escalation to people in crisis via a text-based service.
You will provide empathy and compassion while collaborating with your Crisis Counselor Supervisor on any necessary external intervention.
You will provide high-quality service supporting our texters while adhering to training and clinical policies and procedures.

Enrollment in the following degree programs: Psychology, Sociology, Human Services. General Studies with a concentration in these areas Current enrollment in classes as part of a SNHU degree program Work study as part of the financial aid package 18 years of age Must complete and pass a background check Must have your own laptop/desktop computer with reliable internet Learning Outcomes: Crisis Intervention Communication Critical Thinking Professional Boundaries Work Schedule: Mon-Sun, flexible scheduling. Students will be paid for training time as well as time actively engaged with texters. Please note that hours are not guarenteed as it is based on the volume of clients.
