- Highlights: Activities Assistant – Evenings/Weekends We’re seeking an outgoing, creative, and leadership‑minded Activities Assistant to support our residents through meaningful engagement and daily programming. Schedule Evenings and weekends; every other weekend required
- Weekday shifts: 10:30 AM–6:00
- PM or 11:00 AM–7:00 PM (Sun–Thu)
- Weekend shifts: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM What You’ll Do Lead and assist with group activities and recreational programs Provide one‑on‑one visits before or after dinner, maintaining weekly goals Escort and gather residents to and from activities Complete daily charting on resident participation Conduct initial 7‑day assessments for new residents Collaborate with the team to brainstorm new activity ideas and identify needed supplies Participate in community outings and, occasionally, accompany residents to doctor appointments when family is unavailable What Helps You Succeed Any prior experience in activities, recreation, education, or caregiving Schooling or background related to teaching or recreation is a plus Outgoing, bubbly, engaging personality with strong leadership and teamwork skills

- Requirements: PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES May conduct assessment of activity needs to meet individual treatment goals and objectives. Facilitates and participates in activity-related projects and events. May transport residents to and from events in a facility vehicle. Keeps treatment area clean, safe, and organized. Maintains documentation of activity programs and participation. Assists with setup and takedown of furniture and materials for activities. May oversee volunteers. Performs clerical tasks as needed. Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner. Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience EXPERIENCE No experience required ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Proof of motor vehicle liability insurance that meets minimum state requirements upon hire and upon request. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Constant standing. Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs. Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Frequent use of hearing to distinguish body sounds and/or hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc. Frequent use of vision for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more). Frequent walking, reaching, gripping and keyboard use/data entry. Occasional bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling, sitting, squatting, twisting and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements. Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs. Occasional lifting/moving patients. Occasional use of vision to judge distances and spatial relationships and to identify and distinguish colors. Occasional driving. Rare crawling. REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL
