Teacher Aide, Head Start

The teacher aide works cooperatively with the lead teacher and teacher assistant to plan and implement the daily education program for children. They support the teaching team in ensuring that classroom activities are developmentally appropriate and meet the individual needs of children.

Candidates must have a minimum of six months experience in an early childhood program and a high school diploma or g.e.d. With specific coursework in child development or early childhood education. Alternatively, an associate degree in early childhood education is acceptable.
