About the Role
This Direct Support Professional position supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a structured day program environment in Parker, CO.
The focus of this role is hands-on support throughout the day- helping individuals participate in activities, build daily living skills, and stay engaged in both facility-based and community settings. You’ll work closely with a small group of participants in a fast-paced but supportive environment where routines matter, but flexibility is key.
Each day includes a mix of structured programming, social activities, and community outings. Success in this role comes from consistency, patience, and the ability to support individuals in a way that promotes independence and dignity.

What Your Day Will Look Like
- Participant support & daily care
- Provide supervision and support to program participants throughout the day
- Assist individuals with personal care needs such as restroom use and meals
- Help participants practice daily living skills that promote independence
- Ensure the safety, dignity, and well-being of all individuals served
- Activity leadership & engagement
- Lead group activities such as games, crafts, discussions, and educational lessons
- Facilitate activities that support life skills, communication, and social development
- Encourage participation and positive social interactions among participants
- Support community outings including parks, museums, volunteer sites, and recreational activities
- Documentation & communication
- Complete daily service documentation and provider notes
- Track attendance and assist with participant check-in and check-out
- Report incidents or concerns to the Day Program Manager or leadership team
- Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors to ensure quality support
- Transportation & community access
- Transport participants to community activities using agency vehicles when needed
- Support participants during outings and ensure safety in community environments

- Basic qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and ability to be insured under agency vehicle policy
- Willingness to drive agency vehicles (including vans and larger passenger vehicles)
- Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification and medication administration training (provided if needed)

- Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and remain active throughout the workday
- Occasional lifting, transferring, or assisting individuals up to 80 lbs with proper support techniques
- Ability to assist individuals with mobility and personal care tasks

Work environment
This position includes both facility-based activities and community outings. You may work in program spaces, outdoor environments, community locations, and vehicles while supporting participants.
