Kids club summer edition assistant teacher (Temporary – summer)
Dream Centers of Michigan is seeking engaging and dependable Assistant Teachers to support our 5-week Kids Club Summer Edition program. This program serves students in grades 1–5 through academic support, creative expression, and social development.
The Assistant Teacher plays a key role in supporting classroom instruction, reinforcing structure and routines, and helping create a positive, consistent environment for students. This role works closely with the Lead Teacher to ensure students are supported academically, socially, and behaviorally throughout the day.
- Key responsibilities
- Support daily instruction and small-group learning activities
- Assist in maintaining classroom structure, routines, and organization
- Help manage student behavior through positive reinforcement and redirection
- Support transitions and provide additional help during high-need moments
- Supervise and engage with students to ensure a safe, positive environment
- Participate in all program activities, including Friday field trips
Qualifications
- Experience working with elementary-aged students (grades 1–5) preferred
- Background in education, child development, or related field preferred
- Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to follow direction while taking initiative when needed
- Passion for youth development and creating positive student experiences

- Temporary, full-time, salaried, non-exempt
- Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Includes required pre-program training (mid-late June)
