Kids club summer edition substitute teacher (Temporary – summer)
Dream Centers of Michigan is seeking flexible and dependable Substitute Teachers to support our 5-week Kids Club Summer Edition program. This program serves students in grades 1–5 through academic support, creative expression, and social development.
The Substitute Teacher provides critical coverage and support throughout the day, ensuring continuity of programming, supervision, and a positive student experience. This role must be adaptable and ready to step into Lead Teacher or Assistant Teacher responsibilities as needed.
- Key responsibilities
- Provide classroom coverage for staff absences, breaks, and transitions
- Step into Lead or Assistant Teacher roles as needed, following established plans
- Support classroom instruction, routines, and behavior management
- Assist with arrival, dismissal, and student supervision throughout the day
- Float between classrooms to provide coverage and support
- Participate in all program activities, including field trips
Qualifications
- Experience working with elementary-aged students (grades 1–5) preferred
- Background in education or youth programs preferred
- Ability to manage a classroom environment when needed
- Strong adaptability, reliability, and professionalism
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Passion for youth development and creating positive student experiences

- Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Includes required pre-program training (mid-late June)
