Job Description
- We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic faculty member to teach in our Medical Assisting program.
- This is a part-time, professional position reporting directly to the Program Director.
- The primary responsibility will be to teach Medical Assisting courses.
- The typical teaching load is 1-2 courses each term.
- Applicants will also be expected to provide academic advising to students, assist the program director and participate in department training, meetings and graduation.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program resulting in a Certificate of Completion or Diploma; an associate degree is preferred but not required
- Certification:
- CCMA and/or
- CMA and/or
- RMA
- At least three years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized, motivated and results-driven
- Prior higher education/postsecondary teaching experience preferred
