The counselor will collaborate with treatment teams to implement individualized education and treatment plans while providing intensive supervision and support to at-risk youth. Join Shiloh House, a leader in youth behavioral health and trauma-informed care. We are hiring Mental Health Counselors to work directly with at-risk youth (ages 7–18) in a structured, team-based environment.
This is a hands-on role that requires reliability, accountability, and the ability to stay composed in high-pressure situations. You will play a direct role in maintaining safety, structure, and consistency while helping youth work through behavioral and emotional challenges.
Must be at least 23 years old (22 may be considered) Meets one of the following: 2 years of college (60 credits) Associate’s degree High school diploma + 2 years of human services experience High school diploma + 30 college credits + 1 year of experience
Bachelor's Degree in related field Required Due to the short length of stay for these clients, mastery of direct care skills is a must Valid Colorado driver’s license (or ability to obtain one) with a clean driving record Applicants must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening as a condition of employment, in accordance with Colorado Department of Human Services regulations for child care facilities. This screening includes state criminal background checks, fingerprinting, sex offender registry searches, and abuse and neglect clearances. If the applicant has lived in any other state within the past five years, equivalent background and abuse/neglect checks from those states will also be conducted. In addition, all direct care applicants are required to complete a health evaluation or physical prior to beginning service to confirm they are fit for duty.
