Teacher - Vision Specialist

The vision specialist provides direct vision services to students through 1

1 or group sessions and conducts functional vision assessments to identify necessary adaptations. They also collaborate with teachers, parents, and outside professionals to develop and implement comprehensive educational plans and ieps.

Candidates must hold a master's degree in education and possess or be actively pursuing new york state certification as a teacher of the blind and visually impaired. Experience in the field of visual impairment or with severe and multiple disabilities is preferred.
