Special Education Teacher

The special education teacher is responsible for developing and implementing individualized education plans (Ieps) and lesson plans tailored to student goals. They also manage classroom behavior, monitor student performance, and maintain communication with parents and staff.

Candidates must hold an initial nys certification in special education and a bachelor's degree in special education while pursuing a master's degree. The role requires the physical ability to lift 50 pounds and experience working with students with multiple disabilities is preferred.
