- Teresa Catholic School is seeking an innovative, enthusiastic and faith-filled elementary teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.
- The ideal candidate would be a Catholic who is able to differentiate instruction and utilize various teaching techniques that would challenge and empower students to develop their full potential.
- The candidate should display a love for learning, familiarity with the latest trends in educational technology, the ability to bring the curriculum alive, and work well with a team.
- This is a full-time position with complete benefits package.
- This position will begin in August, 2026.
Minimum Qualifications
Compliance with Diocesan FBI fingerprint clearance and compliance with Safe Environment training and test requirements; Have a BA in a related field from an Accredited College or University; Current Florida Teaching Certificate or Letter of Eligibility; Previous teaching experience is preferred; Upon employment, individual will be subject to a 90-day probationary period; Preference will be given to practicing Catholics;
Duties and Responsibilities
Knows, teaches and acts consistently in accordance with the mission, philosophy, objectives, and policies and procedures of the Catholic school; Understands and appropriately teaches the curriculum of the Diocese of Orlando; Assesses student progress in accordance with the approved procedures of the Diocese of Orlando; Communicates regularly with parents/guardians, colleagues and principal; Maintains accurate student attendance and academic records; Maintains a safe, orderly and secure learning and working environment; Maintains confidentiality and discretion regarding school personnel, students and general school matters; Supervises and evaluates students, escorts students from building to building and on field trips (being responsible for keeping field trip permission slips as well as student medical information forms). Attends required faculty and staff meetings; Cooperates with the principal and staff members in school-related meetings, activities and projects; Participates in the semi-annual performance review based upon the implementation of the general responsibilities of a professional educator in a school; Maintains Florida state teaching certification; Participates in the Diocese of Orlando Diocesan Catechist Certification Program and in Diocesan and school-sponsored professional development programs; Performs other duties as assigned. The principal assigns specific tasks essential to the function of the position.
