Description ENTITY

Nativity: Faith and Reason Catholic school is seeking a caring, cooperative, and motivated Preschool Teacher. This teacher will collaborate with other teachers on their grade level team and paraprofessionals to lead children in growing and developing socially, emotionally, cognitively, physically, and spiritually. The Preschool Teacher will need strong communicative, collaborative, and organizational skills as well as a desire to actively contribute to a mission-driven school culture.

Job duties and responsibilities

Models the Catholic faith for preschoolers in daily practices and interpersonal interactions Creates and maintains a safe, clean learning environment for all children in his/her care Collaborates with assigned paraprofessionals, other teachers on their team, and parents in planning and implementing class activities, field trips, parties, and service projects Exhibits a genuine nurturing and caring attitude towards all children Prepares, submits, and executes developmentally appropriate lesson plans that meet archdiocesan standards Implements and utilizes disciplinary strategies aligned with the school’s mission and the program’s protocols (training provided) Maintains a positive calm attitude with a soft voice and encourages this attitude and voice in others working in the classroom Communicates effectively and charitably with families, teachers, and staff Attends all required staff trainings and meetings Maintains professional profile on PDIS and complies with all school, state, and federal preschool requirements and regulations Follows established confidentiality, safety, and emergency procedures

Requirements

1-3 years minimum experience working with children ages 2–5 Being on your feet 80–90% of the time Going up and down multiple flights of stairs daily Getting onto and off of the floor to sit or squat to meet children’s eye levels Colorado early childhood leveled credential Be a fully initiated and active Catholic who teaches and acts in accordance with the teachings of the Catholic Church Fingerprints and background checks in compliance with licensing requirements Safe Environment Training PREFEERENCES: Associate or Bachelor’s degree ECE 101 and 103 completion, CDA, and/or CO Early Childhood Leveled Credential II
